Beginner's Guide to Weaving

Learn everything you need to know to create your first unique, handwoven wall hanging!

After hosting a number of weaving workshops in the DFW area, I have created this online video course for everyone to learn and enjoy! This class consists of 13 videos that show you everything from the tools you'll need to how to remove your project from the loom and attach to a stick or wooden rod using a whip stitch. In addition to the class, you will be granted access to our private group on Facebook, where you can share tips, ask questions, get Live Facebook updates and tutorials from me, and show off your work! Once you've signed up for the course, go to the Wool & Wow School of Fiber Arts on Facebook to join the closed community.

The tools you'll need to follow along include:

One lap loom (You can make one, but I also recommend this lap loom and this loom with a stand.)
Different colors of yarn (Some of my favorite shops for yarn include Hobby Lobby, Joann's Fabric, and Knit Picks. I also have bundles available in my shop.)
One cotton thread to warp your loom (This one is a good option from Amazon.)
A weaving needle (Many looms come with a standard needle, but I use this extra long weaving needle very often as well.)
Scissors
Dowel Rod or Stick
